DeLonghi Magnifica S temperature setting

One of the biggest annoyances of coffee lovers is a lukewarm cup of coffee. A nice cup of coffee should have the right temperature and for many coffee drinkers this is nice and hot. Find out how to adjust and increase the temperature of your cup of coffee with three tips.
Tip 1: Use warm cups
Unfortunately, the DeLonghi Magnifica S does not have a cup warmer. As a result, your cup will not automatically warm up before the coffee enters the cup. You can, of course, manually heat the cup by rinsing it with hot water from your machine or from the tap. Use coffee cups or mugs of the right size, as you will lose a lot of heat with a cup that is too big. You can also choose double-walled coffee glasses, which retain heat well.
Tip 2: Regularly descale your coffee machine for proper water flow and water heating
Use Eccellente Descaler for DeLonghi Magnifica S or Eccellente Volume Bottles Descaler for DeLonghi to effectively remove limescale from your DeLonghi coffee machine. Without the negative effects of limescale, your espresso machine heats the water better, allowing you to enjoy a hotter cup of coffee or espresso.
Tip 3: Set a higher temperature on your coffee machine
Make sure the machine is switched off but still plugged in. Easily adjust the temperature at which your coffee is brewed with the following three simple steps:
Step 1: Press and hold the one small cup of coffee / espresso button (centre left) (about 5 seconds) until icons are visible on the display.
Step 2: Press the same button several times for a small cup of coffee until the desired temperature is set.
Step 3: Confirm the setting by pressing the large coffee cup (right in the centre).
Four temperature settings
Low: only ECO is lit
Medium low: ECO and drip tray icon lit (default setting)
Medium high: ECO, drip tray and refill water are lit
High: ECO, drip tray, refill water and hazard triangle are lit
